Build your business VoIP requirements brief
Answer eight short questions to create a provider-neutral specification you can print or send to suppliers. It covers the details that are easy to miss when comparing headline monthly prices.
Why write the brief before requesting quotes?
Providers package users, numbers, call capacity, equipment and call handling differently. A like-for-like brief makes it easier to expose omitted licences, porting work, hardware and support rather than relying on a headline price.
Ofcom says small-business customers with ten employees or fewer should receive a written contract summary before agreeing a service, including key charges, contract length and cancellation information. Its rules also cover switching and number portability. Eligibility and protections vary with business size and the service, so confirm how they apply.
